New Beginnings by Former Pastor Rodor

Since we started talking about our future, and praying about the plans that God had for us, Dani and I already had the desire to one day, if the Lord permitted, study abroad and better ourselves to work in His ministry. The future is always presented to us with it's hands tied behind it's back. We never know what it holds for us, BUT we know that the Lord is already there preparing all good things. We know it is he who cooperates, and not the "things".

In 2016, we applied for Dani's visa, hoping that in a few years we would be ready to act upon those first conversations of the begining of our relationship. Well, last year I received the acceptance letter to begin an MDiv at Andrews University, and in January of this year Dani's visa came through. We were ready. God had other plans though. We then received the proposal to possibly serve two congregations in the district of Beaumont, in Texas.

Today, roughly one month, a few interviews, one Sabbath in fellowship with the marvelous people from the Beaumont and Warren congregations, and a lot of prayer later, we received the call to exercise pastoral ministry here. We are very happy and excited! We can make our plans, but the Lord always has better things in store for us!
